![]() ![]() To start off today’s class, we challenged ourselves with a small Kahoot that reviewed all of the content we learned in the previous two classes! We also learned about different types of lists and how to code ordered lists. You can download my class example file here: Class Example #1 Phew! Today was a theory filled class with lots of new content to learn and absorb! Don’t worry if you don’t remember all of this for next week’s class… we will review what we learned before moving on to more exciting code! What are tags? What is the difference between an opening tag and a closing tag? “index.html” is the naming convention for all home pages. ![]() HTML is for the page’s content while CSS adds the style!įile Folder Setup & Proper Naming ConventionsĪvoid using spaces or punctuation in the names of any files! As for punctuation, hyphens (-) and underscores (_) are the only exceptions that are alright!įile extensions are important! Our HTML document won’t work if we forget to use. What is HTML and CSS used for? What is the difference between them? The code that we will be using to create our websites! This was our very first class together! We dove straight into our lesson on HTML and CSS, before moving into Atom to set up our website! Atom is a free code editor that makes our lives easier by colour coding our work and gives us access to time-saving shortcuts! You can download Atom to use at home on their website here, as we will be using this program at school for the duration of the course (but any other text or code editors will also work)! ![]()
